What you will do

• Lead strategic migration and refactoring of legacy Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines and Azure Logic Apps into scalable GCP-native architectures.
• Architect and build high-performance data workflows using GCP services such as Cloud Data Fusion, Cloud Composer, Cloud Workflows, and Cloud Functions.
• Integrate AI-assisted migration tools and LLMs to accelerate, automate, and validate code translation between Azure and GCP (e.g., ADF/LogicApps to GCP services, T-SQL to GoogleSQL, JSON to YAML).
• Collaborate with database administrators and GCP architects to ensure seamless database cutovers and state preservation during cloud-to-cloud transfers.
• Define migration design patterns, CI/CD templates, and validation frameworks to support data integrity and zero-downtime cutovers.
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers on GCP data engineering best practices and bridge Azure-to-GCP ecosystem knowledge.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Big Data, or cloud-based data platform development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform data services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Data Fusion, Cloud Composer, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Workflows.
• Proven experience designing and building scalable data pipelines and workflow orchestration solutions.
• Strong SQL skills, including experience with Cloud SQL and/or SQL Server or similar database technologies.
• Experience delivering cloud migration, modernization, or platform transformation projects.
• English: upper-intermediate or higher

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, or similar integration technologies.
• Experience with Power BI or other BI and reporting tools.
