What you will do

• Supervise and mentor junior data engineers, overseeing project planning and quality control.
• Design and maintain optimal data pipeline architectures for efficient data flow across the organization.
• Develop infrastructure for extracting, transforming, and loading data using SQL, Python, and AWS.
• Extend the machine learning platform by building tools that interface with cloud services to provide model building flexibility.
• Create analytics tools to provide actionable business performance insights for the analytics team.
• Assemble complex datasets that meet specific functional and business requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases including Postgres and MySQL.
• Strong experience with Python and object-oriented design.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2, RDS, Redshift, Glue, and S3.
• Proven track record of building data pipelines from raw, loosely structured data.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a similar quantitative field.

Nice to have

• Strong analytic skills and understanding of statistical methodologies.
• Experience building machine learning models and handling data for model usage.
• Experience building and maintaining RestAPI systems and Flask apps.
• Familiarity with continuous integration (CI) in a data science context.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails.
