Location: Must be based in or near Tel Aviv, Israel (Hybrid: 3 days/week in-office required).

What you will do

• Design and operate Flink-based streaming pipelines handling high-volume real-time events.
• Own data quality and observability infrastructure, including schema contracts and freshness monitoring.
• Develop knowledge base tooling to make institutional context queryable for agents and engineers.
• Drive data integrity initiatives to ensure platform reliability and failure recovery.
• Collaborate with the Agentic Data Foundation initiative to build a company-wide data layer.
• Set technical direction and maintain architecture standards in partnership with engineering management.

Requirements

• 8+ years of production backend or data infrastructure experience.
• At least 2 years of experience at Staff Engineer or equivalent level.
• Deep expertise in stream processing systems like Flink or Kafka at production scale.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, reliability, and failure recovery modes.
• Experience building or owning data quality and observability infrastructure.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to facilitate collaborative solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience with data contracts, schema registries, or data governance tooling.
• Proficiency in JVM languages (Scala, Java, Kotlin) and big data databases (Aerospike, Elasticsearch).
• Contributions to agentic or LLM-adjacent infrastructure.
• Experience acting as a technical anchor in high-scope, small teams.
