Focus on reducing friction across local development, validation, cooking, and CI to improve the workflow for hundreds of developers.

What you will do
- Drive technical direction and decision-making for the Build Platforms team, advising on architecture, scale, and maintenance.
- Resolve bottlenecks across local workflows, Unreal build/cook systems, CI, and release infrastructure.
- Collaborate with VALORANT developers and stakeholders to align on priorities and deliverables.
- Lead and execute multi-month engineering efforts in partnership with central technology teams.
- Participate in the team's support rotation to ensure pipeline stability.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience architecting and maintaining developer-facing platforms and complex workflows.
- Proficiency in building automated build, test, and release pipelines.
- Expertise in C++, C#, Java, or Go.
- Proven experience mentoring other engineers.
- BS degree or equivalent professional experience.
Nice to have
- Professional experience with Unreal Engine game build systems, BuildGraph, and Horde.
- Experience with Perforce workflows, content cooking, and build artifact debugging.
- Background in Game DevOps or cloud technologies.
- Experience serving as a technical lead for a team of engineers.
- Experience building large-scale backend systems or game services.
