What you will do

• Manage and maintain Lakehouse components including S3, AWS Glue, and the Iceberg table registry.
• Deploy and configure governance and quality infrastructure using OpenMetadata and Soda Core.
• Implement automated table maintenance and lineage capture from Glue jobs.
• Design and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) scenarios, including failover, backup management, and annual tests.
• Develop self-service tooling for Data Factory squads and automate repetitive operational tasks.
• Collaborate with architects and operational teams to ensure proper monitoring and alerting.

Requirements

• Strong experience managing Lakehouse platforms on AWS, specifically S3, Glue, CloudTrail, and Athena.
• Hands-on proficiency with Apache Iceberg, OpenMetadata, and Soda Core.
• Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform and Git.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Familiarity with Kafka (MSK) and OpenSearch.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Nice to have

• 8+ years of experience in data platform engineering or related roles.
• Experience within the financial services or banking domain.
