What you will do

• Design, code, test, and debug COBOL programs for mainframe systems.
• Maintain and enhance existing COBOL applications to meet client needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Perform system analysis and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure high code quality and adherence to industry best practices.
• Document technical specifications and operational processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in COBOL development within a mainframe environment.
• Strong proficiency in COBOL programming and mainframe system architecture.
• Must be authorized to work in the US (E-Verify participation).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with CICS, JCL, MQ Series, or SQL.
• Proficiency with VSAM or DB2.
• Past experience working with Federal agencies or the Department of War.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
