About the Role Our client is seeking a Staff AI Frontend Engineer who thrives at the intersection of product design, user experience, and modern frontend engineering. You are an engineer first, but possess exceptional design instincts that elevate every product you touch. You understand how to transform complex technical systems into intuitive experiences that users love. This role offers the opportunity to build cutting-edge AI-powered interfaces, collaborate directly with founders and product leaders, and shape the future of how enterprise software is designed and delivered. You will work on real-time experiences, generative interfaces, intelligent workflows, and AI-powered products that push beyond traditional SaaS applications.

What You'll Own Frontend Architecture & Engineering

• Architect scalable frontend systems and establish engineering best practices
• Design reusable component libraries and frontend frameworks
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability
• Create elegant integrations between frontend applications and backend services

Product Development

• Own and ship critical user-facing features from concept through production
• Build intuitive workflows that simplify complex business processes
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering leadership
• Deliver polished, high-quality user experiences that drive customer adoption

AI-Powered Experiences

• Build AI-native interfaces and intelligent workflows
• Create real-time experiences, dashboards, and interactive systems

Technical Leadership

• Establish frontend standards and architectural patterns
• Mentor engineers and influence engineering culture
• Drive technical decisions that impact the future of the platform
• Help define how AI can improve software development lifecycle practices

Requirements Must-Have Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional frontend engineering experience
• Proven experience building and shipping production-grade software products
• Expert-level proficiency with:
• React
• Next.js
• TypeScript
• Tailwind CSS
• Deep understanding of frontend architecture, performance optimization, and modern development practices
• Experience integrating frontend applications with APIs and distributed systems
• Strong product mindset with a passion for creating exceptional user experiences
• Demonstrated ownership of major product initiatives or technical projects
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, v0, Lovable, or similar technologies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced startup environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior founder or founding engineer experience
