TL;DR
Senior Data Scientist (ML/TravelTech): Lead ML projects from hypothesis formulation to production delivery with an accent on rate matching, recommendation systems, and ranking for B2B travel services. Focus on solving complex multi-objective optimization challenges, predicting cache freshness, and scaling pipelines using PySpark.
Location: Worldwide Remote (candidates must have already relocated from Russia and Belarus)

What you will do
- Own the end-to-end ML lifecycle, from hypothesis generation to production delivery.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers for production pipelines and Data Analysts for A/B testing and metrics.
- Develop mathematical models for rate matching, deduplication, and alternative search using RecSys and Ranking.
- Implement multi-objective optimization to balance margin maximization with incident minimization.
- Build and validate models to predict cache freshness and improve B2B user experience.
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist or ML Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in Classical ML, specifically Gradient Boosting (CatBoost, LightGBM), Classification, and Regression.
- Proven experience with entity matching, Recommendation Systems, and Ranking (KNN, FAISS, LTR).
- Practical experience building pipelines with PySpark and advanced SQL skills.
- Must have already relocated from Russia or Belarus.
Nice to have
- Industry experience in TravelTech, E-commerce, or B2B APIs.
- NLP skills and understanding of text embeddings.
- Experience with dynamic pricing or Next Best Action (NBA) systems.
- Solid foundation in probability theory and mathematical statistics.
