TL;DR
Senior Analytics Engineers / Mid Analytics Engineers (SQL/Python/Azure): Building and optimizing large-scale analytical structures and ELT pipelines with an accent on data modeling, performance engineering, and semantic layer design. Focus on architecting production-grade data solutions, implementing CI/CD for data pipelines, and bridging business needs with technical execution.
Location: Hybrid in Lisbon, Portugal
Salary: €55,000 – €60,000 gross annual

What you will do
- Model and transform data into consistent analytical structures using star schema and medallion architecture.
- Build and optimize ELT pipelines and quality tests to ensure data reliability.
- Support DS, BI, and ML teams with reliable data and semantic layers.
- Monitor datasets, SLAs, and performance to maintain system stability.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Owners for integrated deliveries.
- Mentor junior profiles through guidance and functional reviews.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of professional experience in data analytics environments.
- Expertise in SQL performance tuning and PySpark for advanced transformations.
- Experience with orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory, Airflow, Microsoft Fabric, or Databricks.
- Proficiency in cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, Synapse, or Redshift.
- English: B2 level or higher required.
- Location: Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Lisbon, Portugal.
Nice to have
- Experience with data governance tools like Microsoft Purview or Unity Catalog.
- Advanced semantic modeling in Power BI and DAX optimization.
