What you will do

• Analyze and improve system design to reduce failure modes and promote self-healing.
• Maintain observability tools including logging, monitoring, and distributed tracing.
• Collaborate with partners to shape architecture for scalability and performance.
• Establish and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
• Respond to incidents and implement long-term mitigation strategies.
• Act as a subject matter expert for engineering operations across streaming platforms.

Requirements

• Must be based in Mexico, Brazil, or Costa Rica
• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in Golang and JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of Linux internals and TCP/IP stack.
• Experience designing and deploying microservices in cloud environments.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript, Kubernetes, Terraform, and OpenTelemetry.
• Knowledge of HLS video transcoding and distribution.
• Familiarity with eBPF, Datadog, and Helm Charts.
• Experience running services in high-demand, high-traffic environments.
