Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) (AI/Manufacturing)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; travel to customers 20% of the time

Salary: $182,000–$250,208 USD per year, plus potential annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits

What you will do

• Build and productionize customer solutions spanning data engineering, AI, and application development.
• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of secure, scalable end-to-end systems.
• Deliver data ingestion, custom applications, reference architectures, and ML/AI model integrations.
• Guide enterprise customers through big data and AI transformations, including project scoping and deployment.
• Work with customer stakeholders, project managers, architects, engineering, and support teams to deliver technical engagements.
• Create reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that scale across accounts and inform the product roadmap.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
• Programming experience with Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
• Working knowledge of at least two cloud ecosystems among AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in one.
• Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark, including Spark runtime internals.
• Experience with CI/CD, MLOps, ML/AI models and APIs, and production end-to-end data architectures.
• Experience delivering technical projects for enterprise clients, managing scope and timelines, documenting solutions, and handling stakeholder conflicts.
