AI Backend Software Engineer (AWS Bedrock): Designing and implementing AI-powered search solutions and microservices using AWS Bedrock with an accent on multimodal foundation models, vector-based retrieval augmentation, and latency-optimized inference. Focus on architecting event-driven AWS infrastructures, optimizing model orchestration, and ensuring secure, cost-efficient deployment via Terraform and GitLab CI.
Location: Must be based in Ukraine (Remote or Hybrid)

What you will do
- Own software products from conception to operation within a cross-functional development team.
- Architect and deliver advanced AI-powered Search solutions using AWS Bedrock, including multimodal model orchestration and vector-based retrieval.
- Design secure and cost-efficient microservices integrated into an event-driven AWS architecture.
- Manage the full software development cycle: designing, building, testing, and deploying applications.
- Ensure system observability, governance, and continuous delivery via GitLab CI and Terraform.
- Research and evaluate new AI approaches, tools, and processes in collaboration with Practice teams.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java or Kotlin and their respective ecosystems.
- Experience with Micronaut or SpringBoot frameworks and Terraform.
- Hands-on experience building AI/LLM features with AWS Bedrock and configuring Guardrails.
- Expertise in AWS cloud design, infrastructure as code, and resource-oriented APIs (REST, GraphQL).
- Experience with Open Search and data persistence (SQL/noSQL).
- Must be based in Ukraine.
