Mid Software Engineer (Node/React/Java)

Location: Hybrid (Manchester, UK) - in-office presence twice a week required

What you will do

• Develop and maintain features and services across the Audio Platform.
• Contribute to prototyping and early-stage feature development.
• Perform code reviews and support junior engineers as the team grows.
• Collaborate with product and technology teams to deliver quality software.
• Implement DevOps practices, including CI/CD, automation, and observability.
• Write unit and integration tests and apply security best practices.

Requirements

• Solid engineering experience working independently across client and server layers.
• Proficiency in Node/TypeScript, React, and Java.
• Experience with AWS, microservices, APIs, and cloud deployment.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and containerization.
• Must be based in or able to commute to the Manchester hub twice a week.

Nice to have

• Experience in the media or streaming industry.
• Familiarity with incident management.
