What you will do

• Define technical direction, coding standards, and architectural decisions for the automation group.
• Design comprehensive test strategies for large, cross-cutting features across multiple services.
• Mentor team members, conduct code reviews, and elevate overall engineering quality.
• Build and evolve automation infrastructure, tools, and utilities.
• Drive root cause investigations for complex, hard-to-reproduce issues like race conditions and timing-sensitive failures.
• Own release sign-off decisions and identify gaps in test coverage.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience developing automated tests and infrastructure for integrated SW/HW products.
• Demonstrated experience leading or technically mentoring an automation or QA team.
• Strong Python development skills with production-quality code.
• Deep understanding of complex, multi-service distributed systems and failure propagation.
• Proven ability to design test strategies at the system level.
• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Background in enterprise storage (SAN, NAS, Object Storage).
• Hands-on experience with file protocols (SMB, NFS) or object storage protocols (S3).
• Linux internals and networking knowledge.
• Familiarity with storage architecture concepts like replication, snapshots, and tiering.
