Lead Compositor (VFX)

Location: Hybrid (Sydney, Australia). Must be based in or be able to relocate to Sydney. Right to work in Australia is required.

What you will do

• Deliver shots and sequences to the Comp Supervisor while ensuring creative and technical continuity.
• Provide leadership and technical support for the compositing team.
• Maintain high quality standards and strictly adhere to department workflows and processes.
• Assist the Comp Supervisor in the creation and development of show templates.
• Contribute to the evolution of workflows and methodologies to improve project efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the VFX industry compositing for film and television.
• 1-2 years of experience as a Lead in the VFX industry.
• Advanced proficiency in Nuke, including extensive experience with template creation.
• Proven experience leading and supervising other compositors.
• Solid understanding of colorspaces and color pipelines.
• Must have the legal right to work in Australia.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Python scripting.
• Experience with LookDev.
