What you will do

• Oversee the creation of digital environments, establishing the visual look in accordance with VFX and DFX supervisors’ direction.
• Establish best practice workflows for efficient environment creation, including render testing and pipeline optimization.
• Collaborate with other department supervisors to ensure seamless delivery of work between teams.
• Coordinate with production to define delivery schedules and key milestones.
• Manage the Environments/Generalist team, delegating tasks and ensuring high artistic and technical quality.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Environment Supervisor delivering complex requirements for VFX feature films.
• Significant understanding of the VFX pipeline and 3D/2.5D production processes.
• Expert-level knowledge of Maya, Mari, and Nuke.
• High-level proficiency in modelling, texturing, layout, lighting, and digital matte painting.
• Experience working with shoot data, including HDRIs, photogrammetry, and Lidar.
• Must be based in Sydney or relocate to Australia

Nice to have

• Experience with procedural city/terrain generation and scattering tools.
