What you will do

• Lead day-to-day engineering execution for modernization and operations workstreams.
• Refactor legacy applications into .NET 8+ patterns, utilizing modularization and API-first design.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards, including clean code practices, code reviews, and branching strategies.
• Modernize data access patterns through EF Core adoption and SQL query optimization.
• Partner with systems engineers and QA to ensure environment readiness, CI/CD quality gates, and automated testing.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to Senior and mid-level AppDev Engineers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of enterprise application engineering experience, specifically in modernization/refactoring.
• Deep hands-on expertise with C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET 6–8, and REST API development.
• Strong experience with Azure PaaS hosting (e.g., App Services) and cloud-native delivery.
• Proficiency in SQL Server and modern data access patterns (EF Core/ORM).
• Proven experience operating CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred) and Git-based workflows.
• Strong understanding of secure coding, OAuth/OIDC, and Azure AD concepts.

Nice to have

• Azure certifications (Developer Associate, DevOps Engineer, or Solutions Architect).
• Experience with Azure API Management, Azure Functions, or event-driven distributed systems.
• Implementation of observability tools like Application Insights and Log Analytics.
• Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
• Experience with disaster recovery planning and validation (RTO/RPO).
