What you will do
- Own the end-to-end Financial Crime and Onboarding QC framework, including standards, calibration, escalations, and QC methodology (sampling, scoring, documentation).
- Perform detailed QC reviews of Fraud/TM/KYC processes across risk levels, assessing accuracy and consistency against checklists, scoring criteria, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze QC findings, challenge shortcomings and financial crime risks, and drive timely remediation with clear accountability to maintain audit and regulatory compliance.
- Coach team members with constructive feedback, identify recurring issues and themes, and recommend solutions at operational and technological levels.
- Manage stakeholder engagement across Onboarding and Financial Crime teams, clearly articulating and justifying QC decisions when challenged.
- Contribute to process and control improvements, including updates informed by UK and EU law and support for regulatory/internal change initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience managing a QC function in a FinTech or start-up environment.
- Experience as a financial crime investigator or analyst.
- Proficiency handling wide sets of data and presenting key findings.
- Confidence communicating with key stakeholders.
