What you will do

• Lead and grow a cross-functional engineering team within the Fulfilment domain.
• Drive technical direction and system ownership to ensure scalable and maintainable architecture.
• Partner with Product and UX teams to translate business priorities into technical strategy.
• Improve the post-order customer experience by reducing shipping friction and increasing reliability.
• Establish engineering standards, improve processes, and introduce measurable quality metrics.
• Navigate ambiguity in a scale-up environment while balancing immediate delivery with long-term platform improvements.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of software engineering experience.
• 1–2+ years of proven people leadership experience in coaching and developing engineers.
• Experience working in cross-functional product teams with Product, UX, and business stakeholders.
• Strong technical decision-making confidence regarding architectural trade-offs.
• Ownership mindset with the ability to drive solutions in ambiguous situations.
• Must be based in or able to work from Lisbon, Portugal.

Nice to have

• Experience in marketplace, e-commerce, or scale-up environments.
• Specific background in logistics, shipping, or post-order flows.
