What you will do

• Conceptualize, model, and texture characters to effectively tell stories through visual design.
• Create beautifully constructed characters with clean geometry, solid topology, and precise UVs.
• Develop facial blendshapes and wrinkle maps for character expressions.
• Author hair using both full strand-based and hair card techniques.
• Execute hard surface work as required for character assets.

Requirements

• Professional experience as a Character Artist with at least one published game.
• Deep proficiency in Maya and ZBrush, with a strong foundation in Photoshop.
• Expert knowledge of anatomy, form, shape, and composition.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating flexibility and a high standard of craft.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work onsite in Edinburgh, UK.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Unreal Engine 4 or 5.
• Experience with Marvelous Designer and/or scan development pipelines.
