Data Platform Engineer (AdTech)

TL;DR

Data Platform Engineer (AWS/GCP/Kubernetes): Designing and optimizing cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for a global data and AI platform with an accent on scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency. Focus on implementing Infrastructure as Code, managing containerized workloads, and building robust automation for high-scale AdTech services.

Location: Hybrid in Copenhagen, Denmark (office attendance approx. 4 days a week)

What you will do

• Design scalable cloud-native systems on AWS or GCP to support Spark data analytics and AI workloads.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using HashiCorp Terraform to build secure multi-account and cross-cloud environments.
• Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters with containerized data workloads and microservices.
• Build robust CI/CD automations using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Argo Workflows.
• Optimize cost efficiency and performance metrics for high-scale data workloads and low-latency services.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and QA to streamline development workflows and improve reliability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Data Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DataOps, or SRE in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS or GCP and proven expertise in Terraform.
• Deep experience in containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages with an automation-first mindset.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (VPCs, load balancing, DNS, IAM).
• Must be based in or able to work from the Copenhagen office (hybrid, average 4 days/week)

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Golang.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Elastic stack.
• Experience supporting multi-region, globally distributed systems.
