Location: San Mateo, CA (preferred) or San Diego, CA (hybrid - requires 2-3 days onsite)

Salary: $40.29 — $60.49 per hour

What you will do

• Conduct investigations into threats targeting SIE platforms, services, and corporate security breaches.
• Gather and assess evidence using CCTV, access control records, OSINT, and internal reporting.
• Analyze investigative data to establish timelines, identify behavioral indicators, and assess risk.
• Produce objective investigative documentation and reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Develop actionable intelligence and monitor emerging threat trends, tactics, and procedures (TTPs).
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and internal teams including Legal, HR, and IT to mitigate risks.

Requirements

• Experience in law enforcement, corporate security, intelligence, or trust & safety.
• Proficiency in OSINT and online investigation methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for senior leadership engagement.
• Ability to make informed decisions in high-pressure situations with tight constraints.
• Understanding of global events, international geography, and online threat landscapes.
• Must meet any state-required training or licensing qualifications where applicable.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Intelligence Studies, IT, or a related field.
• Experience producing strategic risk analysis products or intelligence reporting.
• Familiarity with behavioral threat assessment or workplace violence prevention.
• Knowledge of reporting and metrics tools such as Tableau.
