What you will do

• Define technical requirements, plan and execute testing (use cases, procedures, and test data), and support software systems integration.
• Develop and maintain .NET back-end applications using C# with MVC architecture, including unit testing and deployment via CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness; provide development support for production deployments.
• Implement long-term solutions and reusable building blocks within Agile (Scrum/Kanban), collaborating in daily stand-ups and with stakeholders.
• Apply engineering best practices such as test automation, modularization, simplification, and perform code reviews with constructive feedback.
• Use development tools including Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and Git; document designs (diagrams and module descriptions).

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required and ability to qualify for Public Trust (MBI) security clearance.
• Remote eligibility: must be in the U.S. and not located in CA, CO, IL, NJ, or NY.
• 5+ years of software development using .NET technologies; expertise in .NET Framework and .NET Core with strong C# knowledge.
• Backend development experience with MVC, RESTful APIs, OOP and design patterns.
• Database design and development experience with SQL Server and Entity Framework.
• Experience with CI/CD practices and tools, unit testing frameworks (NUnit/xUnit/MSTest), and version control (Git and TFS/TFVC).

Nice to have

• Experience with EDI X.12 and/or X.12 medical claims (e.g., 837, 834, 277).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Kubernetes, ECS, EKS).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and infrastructure as code (IaC).
