What you will do

• Oversee tech transfers and process improvements for the Extractions Lab.
• Manage and mentor a direct team responsible for operations, quality, and project success.
• Design and update extraction procedures to improve usability and accuracy.
• Coordinate with engineering, equipment, quality, and regulatory stakeholders to secure resources.
• Represent Extraction team needs during product launches.
• Collaborate with direct reports to establish professional development goals.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Molecular Biology or related field (or equivalent).
• At least 6 years of industry experience in genetic testing or related fields.
• Previous management experience is required.
• Strong technical expertise in molecular biology and NGS-based laboratory assays.
• Experience working in a regulated environment (GMP, ISO, CLIA, CAP, FDA).
• Ability to work onsite in San Carlos, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience with assay development and/or QC.
• CLIA/FDA laboratory support experience.
• Experience with formal quality management systems.
