Location: Hybrid in Vancouver, BC. Candidates must be based in British Columbia and eligible to work in Canada.

Salary: $111,800 – $123,500 per year

What you will do

• Create small and large scale crowds using Houdini, Maya Atoms, and proprietary tools.
• Manage the complete crowd lifecycle from layout and previz to rendering and compositing.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for day-to-day production shot issues.
• Collaborate with Dev and Digital Workflow teams to integrate crowds into the production pipeline.
• Prototype shot pipelines and demonstrate crowd FX to creative leadership.
• Coach and train team members on existing and new crowd setup tools.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience developing crowd setups for VFX feature films, high-end TV, or animation.
• Degree in Computer Graphics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Expert-level knowledge of Maya.
• Expert-level scripting skills with Python and Vex.
• Must be based in British Columbia and eligible to work in Canada.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Houdini.
• Experience using Atoms Crowd.
• Ability to animate character and non-character assets.
