What you will do

  • Develop and execute the MENA public affairs strategy and roadmaps across 6+ countries.
  • Lead licensing and regulatory engagement regarding ride-hailing rules, driver requirements, and data privacy.
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with regulators, ministries, and municipalities.
  • Manage multi-market crisis response and issue management using structured escalation playbooks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate policy requirements into business actions for launches and expansions.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a regional team of 3–4 people and manage external advisors.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of experience in Public Affairs, GR, or regulatory policy, preferably in mobility, fintech, or logistics.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-country regulatory outcomes and securing licenses.
  • Strong leadership experience in managing teams or complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Fluent English proficiency.
  • Must be based in or able to work from Abu Dhabi, UAE (Hybrid).

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in Arabic and/or French.
  • Direct experience with ride-hailing or gig economy regulations.
  • Existing professional network of stakeholders within the MENA region.
