TL;DR

Location: Remote, but must be based in Portugal. EU candidates are welcome if willing to relocate to Portugal. Portuguese or EU citizenship or a valid Portuguese work permit is required.

What you will do

• Design and architect scalable ML platforms and AI systems at scale.
• Manage the full ML lifecycle, including feature engineering and model deployment patterns.
• Develop and optimize scalable ETL/ELT patterns and data architectures.
• Implement and manage Databricks Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, and Lakehouse architectures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and provide technical leadership.
• Work with orchestration frameworks such as Apache Airflow.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Data, AI, or Machine Learning Engineering roles.
• 3+ years of experience designing ML platforms or AI architecture at scale.
• Deep expertise in Databricks, Apache Spark, Python, and SQL.
• Strong understanding of MLOps and distributed ML systems.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Must be based in Portugal (EU citizenship or valid Portuguese work permit required).
• English: B2/C1 level required.
