What you will do
- Define and evolve the architecture, strategy, and long-term roadmap for the financial services domain.
- Design and build secure, scalable systems supporting payments, billing, collections, and ledger management.
- Lead integrations with banks, payment processors, and financial service providers.
- Establish and drive best practices around reliability, observability, and transaction integrity.
- Mentor senior and staff engineers through architecture reviews and technical leadership.
- Lead investigation and resolution efforts for issues impacting financial systems.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United States
- Significant experience designing and scaling payment systems, billing platforms, or fintech infrastructure.
- Deep expertise in Python and Django for complex backend services.
- Strong working knowledge of JavaScript and React.
- Expertise with PostgreSQL and designing systems for reconciliation and auditability.
- Proven experience building distributed, fault-tolerant systems on AWS.
- Strong judgment regarding AI application in financial services.
