What you will do

• Define and evolve the architecture, strategy, and long-term roadmap for the financial services domain.
• Design and build secure, scalable systems supporting payments, billing, collections, and ledger management.
• Lead integrations with banks, payment processors, and financial service providers.
• Establish and drive best practices around reliability, observability, and transaction integrity.
• Mentor senior and staff engineers through architecture reviews and technical leadership.
• Lead investigation and resolution efforts for issues impacting financial systems.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Significant experience designing and scaling payment systems, billing platforms, or fintech infrastructure.
• Deep expertise in Python and Django for complex backend services.
• Strong working knowledge of JavaScript and React.
• Expertise with PostgreSQL and designing systems for reconciliation and auditability.
• Proven experience building distributed, fault-tolerant systems on AWS.
• Strong judgment regarding AI application in financial services.
