TL;DR

Senior Rigger (Gamedev): Designing and building rigging systems for high-quality assets within the Rainbow Six brand with an accent on skinning, physics, and character aesthetics. Focus on translating mock-ups into integrated visualisations and mentoring artists to elevate the visual identity of AAA games.

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. Candidates must possess current eligibility to live and work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

  • Design and build complex rigging systems to support high-quality character assets.
  • Implement gameplay character elements, focusing on skinning, physics, and modelling.
  • Translate conceptual mock-ups into high-quality integrated visualisations for the art team.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a cohesive visual style across features.
  • Mentor artists and animators through peer reviews and constructive feedback.
  • Communicate the Director's creative vision through realistic character movement and interaction.

Requirements

  • Portfolio/showreel demonstrating Character Rigging, specifically deformation and scene structures.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard 3D software such as 3DS Max or Maya.
  • Strong 3D Modelling experience.
  • Ability to mentor other artists and animators.
  • Current eligibility to live and work in the UK.
  • Experience throughout the full game development life-cycle.
