What you will do

• Design and evolve a plugin-based architecture using Model Context Protocol (MCP) to extend Claude Code for internal SDLC toolchains.
• Develop and optimize production AI applications through prompt engineering, context management, and tool-use patterns.
• Implement a security-first approach to agent execution, featuring robust sandboxing, strict permission scopes, and secure authentication.
• Drive the governance strategy for the AI SDLC platform, defining standards for plugin evaluation, versioning, and monitoring.
• Lead estimation, scoping, and planning for AI/ML initiatives in collaboration with executive and senior stakeholders.
• Ensure AI systems comply with data privacy and regulatory requirements, specifically FERPA and COPPA.

Requirements

• Must be a US Person; sponsorship is not available.
• 8+ years of experience as a Lead Software Engineer, Platform Architect, or AI Engineering Lead (6+ with Master's, 5+ with PhD).
• Proven track record of building AI-enabled developer tooling, function-calling pipelines, or extensible agentic platforms in production.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js and/or Python, with deep expertise in modular APIs, SDKs, or CLI-based tools.
• Strong understanding of secure system design, including OAuth, token management, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
• Intimate knowledge of the modern SDLC and experience integrating with GitHub, Confluence, Jira, and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Practical experience with RAG or embedding-based retrieval.
