What you will do

• Define enterprise scalability fitness functions and scorecards to align teams with SLOs and budgets.
• Design and implement sharding, partitioning, caching, back-pressure, and multi-region readiness strategies.
• Build lightweight enablement tools, including benchmarks and profiling harnesses, to help teams land fixes.
• Lead scalability reviews and readiness gates to accelerate delivery and drive systemic fixes from incident deep dives.
• Communicate technical trade-offs and business impact to executives and engineering leadership.
• Integrate AI tools for proactive anomaly detection, synthetic load generation, and guided runbooks.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience scaling multi-tenant SaaS platforms with a proven track record of removing major bottlenecks.
• Expertise in performance engineering, capacity planning, sharding, and high-volume migrations.
• Experience applying AI tools for profiling assistance, workload modeling, and anomaly detection.
• Strong cross-organizational influence and ability to align teams via technical depth and scorecards.
• Based in the United States (mention of US geographic markets and local state laws).

• Experience establishing company-wide scalability fitness functions and review processes.
• Documented wins in improving pXX latencies and reducing repeat P0 incidents on enterprise workloads.
