What you will do

• Develop and integrate Linux Kernel and BIOS software for internal use and as a base for Arista EOS.
• Extend and develop new kernel features and collaborate with the upstream kernel community for integration.
• Evaluate new CPUs and work with vendors to integrate their stacks into EOS.
• Manage the bringup and qualification of CPU subsystems into hardware products.
• Own projects from definition to deployment, including debugging and fine-tuning code for scalability and performance.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience with C, C++, and Python.
• Strong problem-solving and software troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to design and successfully implement technical solutions.
• Applied understanding of software engineering principles.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience working on Linux Kernel software.
• Understanding of IP networking and/or distributed systems.
