TL;DR
Senior Systems Engineer (AVEVA System Platform): Designing and implementing critical SCADA and reporting systems for nuclear infrastructure projects with an accent on AVEVA System Platform, Historian, and MSSQL. Focus on developing robust industrial automation solutions, managing large-scale engineering documentation, and ensuring compliance in highly regulated environments.
Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Chesterfield, UK (Hybrid role)

What you will do
- Design and implement SCADA solutions using AVEVA System Platform 2023 and ProcessVUE.
- Configure and manage AVEVA Historian for real-time data collection and storage.
- Integrate control systems with third-party equipment using industrial protocols.
- Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specs and test procedures.
- Conduct system integration, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and Customer Acceptance Testing (CAT).
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to ensure project delivery meets quality and safety standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in industrial automation and control systems.
- Proven expertise in AVEVA System Platform, OMI, Historian, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong background in SCADA/HMI design and implementation within industrial environments.
- Experience producing and managing large-scale engineering documentation.
- Understanding of software/system lifecycle processes.
- Degree or HND/HNC in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
Nice to have
- Experience with MAC Solutions ProcessVUE.
- Prior experience in nuclear, defence, or other highly regulated industries.
- Scripting or programming skills (PowerShell, .NET).
- Experience integrating enterprise data/reporting platforms.
