Senior Software Engineer, Reliability (AWS/Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Build and operate foundational services focusing on availability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Automate infrastructure and reduce operational toil using software engineering principles.
• Design and evolve systems using SRE best practices, defining SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Improve observability, alerting, and incident response to reduce mean time to detection and recovery.
• Perform quantitative analysis on system behavior, capacity constraints, and scaling limits.
• Mentor and pair with other engineers to raise the bar for operational maturity and engineering excellence.

Requirements

• Proficiency in writing production-quality code in Python, Go, or similar languages.
• Experience building and operating distributed, cloud-native systems and understanding complex failure modes.
• Hands-on experience operating containerized workloads and platforms, specifically Kubernetes.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code and declarative configuration, such as Terraform.
• Comfortable participating in on-call rotations and diagnosing production issues.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to Dublin, Ireland.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting security-critical platforms or building internal security tooling.
• Familiarity with identity, access management, secrets management, or policy enforcement systems.
• Experience operating systems at scale specifically within AWS.
• Background in resilience testing, fault injection, or chaos engineering.
• Strong comprehension of algorithms and data structures at scale.
