What you will do

• Build, operate, and improve production systems focusing on reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Automate operational tasks using software engineering principles to reduce manual toil.
• Define and measure SLIs and SLOs while improving observability through metrics, dashboards, and tracing.
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident investigations and post-mortem reviews.
• Collaborate with product, platform, and security engineers to ship reliable systems.
• Maintain clear operational runbooks and system documentation.

Requirements

• Experience operating cloud-native production systems and services.
• Proficiency in writing production-quality code in Python, Go, or similar languages.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems failure modes and containerized workloads (Kubernetes).
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Kubernetes manifests).
• Ability to follow incident response processes and diagnose production issues.
• Must be based in or able to relocate to Dublin, Ireland.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS or other major cloud providers.
• Familiarity with messaging systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Celery.
• Interest in capacity planning, performance testing, or resilience engineering.
• Practical experience with algorithms and data structures.
