TL;DR
Director, Consumer Product Licensing (Gamedev): Overseeing the licensed consumer products business and go-to-market strategies for Transmedia West initiatives with an accent on revenue growth, brand expansion, and cross-functional collaboration. Focus on leading a team of licensing professionals, negotiating complex agreements, and managing P&L to ensure long-term success for SEGA IP.
Location: Must work onsite in Burbank, CA
Salary: $172,000–$215,000 per year

What you will do
- Drive annual revenue forecasts and oversee monthly reporting for the consumer products business.
- Develop global consumer products strategies in partnership with the VP of Licensing to maximize revenue.
- Oversee licensing strategy execution across the United States and Canada.
- Manage and mentor a team of 12 licensing professionals across 6 direct reports.
- Lead negotiations with licensees and vendors to secure favorable terms and royalty structures.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Brand Marketing, Community, and Publishing to support business initiatives.
Requirements
- Must work onsite in Burbank, CA as an essential function of the role.
- 10+ years of experience in outbound consumer products licensing.
- 5+ years of management experience leading teams.
- Proven experience with full P&L ownership, forecasting, and reporting.
- Strong expertise in licensing contracts and negotiation of business terms.
- Deep knowledge of the retail landscape across various channels.
Nice to have
- Experience in entertainment or gaming licensing.
- Experience with character licensing or kids IP management.
