What you will do
- Monitor the network across IP and transmission platforms (including xWDM) and underlying infrastructure (sites and fiber).
- Respond to alarms, initiate troubleshooting, and resolve faults and outages to restore service.
- Handle incidents end-to-end, aiming for first-line resolution and minimizing escalation to second-level support.
- Coordinate with third-party providers (hardware vendors, field support, and network providers) during troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate incident documentation, structured technical reporting, and stakeholder communication during major incidents.
- Track SLA commitments, follow up on progress, and prepare root cause analysis and outage reports; act as SPOC during planned maintenance.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience in a NOC or similar environment.
- Strong network troubleshooting expertise across IP and/or transmission platforms.
- Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, QoS, and xWDM technologies.
- CCNP Enterprise level knowledge (for IP-focused roles) or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools, incident handling, and fault management.
- Experience working with Linux/Windows environments and strong communication skills for internal and external collaboration.

- Scripting experience (Python or Bash).
- Telecom industry background (TELCO).
- Experience configuring or improving NOC monitoring tools.
- Experience working in an international environment.
