What you will do

• Design and implement scalable batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Develop and maintain enterprise data models, schemas, and storage architectures.
• Optimize data processing for performance, reliability, and cost.
• Build automated testing, monitoring, observability, and alerting for data systems.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
• Establish and promote data engineering standards, governance, and best practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience designing and operating production-grade data platforms.
• Strong expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT, and distributed data processing.
• Proven track record of driving improvements in pipeline reliability and data quality.
• Ability to lead complex technical initiatives independently from design to operational support.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to the Bay Area (San Francisco/Peninsula) or NYC.
• Hybrid work: Expected ~2 days per week in-office.
