What you will do

• Verify patient demographics, insurance eligibility, and billing information.
• Review claims for accuracy and compliance with payer guidelines.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and investigate claim denials.
• Communicate with insurance carriers regarding claim status and reimbursement.
• Follow up on unpaid or underpaid claims and submit appeals.
• Monitor aging reports and prioritize accounts for follow-up.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing and collections.
• Must have a Windows OS device and reliable internet/VPN access.
• Must be available to work 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
• In-depth knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Proficiency in medical billing software (eClinicalWorks preferred).
• Experience using payer websites to assess claim status.

Nice to have

• Certification in medical billing and coding (CPC).
