What you will do

• Own and evolve the vulnerability management program, focusing on container security, dependencies, and code scanning.
• Build and maintain security tooling that integrates directly into CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows.
• Use AI extensively to automate analyses, write code, and scale security operations.
• Assess and improve telemetry usage across cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement secure development practices through automated tools and defaults.
• Investigate and respond to security findings while prioritizing the development of preventative systems.

Requirements

• Must be based in Ireland and able to operate as an independent contractor (PSC/self-employed).
• At least 5 years of experience in software or platform engineering.
• Deep expertise in application security, vulnerability management, and SDLC integration.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically GCP/GKE.
• Demonstrated habit of using AI tools (coding assistants, LLMs) as a core part of the development process.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence engineering culture.
