What you will do

• Lead the development and implementation of the data engineering strategy, architecture roadmap, and technical standards.
• Oversee the design of the data ecosystem utilizing Data Vault methodologies and Data Mesh principles.
• Provide technical leadership for data pipelines, transformations, and delivery systems using Snowflake and Matillion.
• Partner with Product Management, Data Analytics, and Cloud Engineering to align platform capabilities with business objectives.
• Establish governance, quality frameworks, and metadata management across all data layers.
• Mentor and lead a high-performing team while fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive experience in data engineering or architecture.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing data engineering teams.
• Extensive experience with Snowflake and cloud-based data solutions.
• Deep understanding of data modeling techniques including Data Vault, dimensional modeling, and data mesh.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools like Matillion.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, Cosmos DB, and BI platforms like Power BI.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, Spark, or other data processing frameworks.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and DevOps for data pipelines.
• Familiarity with AI/ML tooling and data preparation.
• Experience in the real estate, financial services, or insurance industries.
