What you will do
- Collaborate with producers and reporters to create streaming-first mid and longform content.
- Select pictures, sound, and sync to build compelling narrative edits.
- Record and manage incoming media from various sources including rushes, OBs, and satellite feeds.
- Plan editing sessions and employ advanced techniques to meet production intentions.
- Prepare material for graphic effect (GFX) creation and optimize workflows for package delivery.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and file delivery protocols for streaming output.
Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of craft editing and video production techniques (FCP X / Adobe Premiere).
- Experience in recording and transmitting pictures and sound in all broadcast formats.
- Understanding of transmission procedures and talkback techniques.
- Familiarity with edit platform systems such as OpenMedia, Jupiter, and File Transfer.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with production and editorial teams.
- Must be available for occasional weekend and evening work during breaking news.
