What you will do

• Manage data acquisition for performance capture and 3D facial/body scanning shoots.
• Calibrate and set up camera rigs and mobile capture systems.
• Work directly with talent to guide them through facial expressions while ensuring high-quality data.
• Coordinate with shoot producers and crew for arrival, setup, and breakdown.
• Supervise the research and development of new scanning technologies.
• Train and mentor junior technicians and contractors.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a technical entertainment field.
• Ability to work onsite in San Rafael, California.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment (50+ lbs).
• Availability for regular out-of-state travel (typically 1 week per month).
• Strong personal and creative problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating across multiple departments.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of photogrammetry software such as CaptureGrid or Reality Capture.
• Experience with at least one published AAA video game as a 3D Scanning or Motion Capture Technician.
