Vice President, Laboratory Operations

What you will do

• Develop and execute strategies to optimize laboratory operations across quality, capacity, TAT, and COGS.
• Lead and manage high-performing teams to deliver departmental KPIs tied to customer satisfaction.
• Own financial and operational planning inputs, including budget preparation, revenue/expense monitoring, test volume, and FTE utilization.
• Serve as primary point of contact for delegated products, providing concise updates to executive leadership and building partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with quality programs and regulatory requirements including ISO 13485, CLIA/QSR, GDP, and GCP/cGMP.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma, including change management, nonconformity handling, audit corrective actions, and CAPAs.

Requirements

• BS/BA (or equivalent) in a STEM field; Biological Sciences preferred.
• Minimum experience: 12+ years with a BS, 10+ years with an MS, or 7+ years with a PhD.
• 5+ years overseeing manufacturing at the Director or Senior Manager level.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
• Current California CLS or CGMBS license preferred.
