What you will do

• Lead the design and evolution of scalable backend systems for in-game features operating at massive scale.
• Drive end-to-end technical initiatives and influence architectural and operational decisions across multiple teams.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, analysts, and technical leaders to balance performance with business impact.
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to the improvement of overall engineering culture and quality standards.
• Implement highly available live game services and complex backend system integrations.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience with Java 17+ and modern backend development practices.
• Deep understanding of API design, distributed systems, and backend system architecture.
• Experience worhirify.global with gRPC and/or JSON-RPC based services.
• Proficiency with Gradle, Docker, and operating services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong knowledge of system reliability, observability, and incident management.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience in gaming, live services, or large-scale consumer platforms.
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and asynchronous systems.
