Data Manager (Data Scientist, Data Engineer)

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; 12 days of working from home per year.

What you will do

• Lead data management, analytics, and data innovation initiatives across business functions.
• Supervise data and information systems, ensuring data products are accurate, legitimate, useful, and available.
• Establish and oversee data governance policies, data visions, and cross-functional data strategies.
• Manage data pipelines, BI systems, reports, dashboards, and ad hoc data support.
• Oversee the end-to-end MLOps lifecycle for model training, evaluation, deployment, and inference at scale.
• Build monitoring and alerting frameworks for model health, data drift, and production performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, IT, economics, statistics, applied mathematics, business administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a senior-level data management role and end-to-end delivery of data solutions.
• Experience managing senior stakeholders and communicating technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven experience with MLOps tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, or DVC, and CI/CD pipelines for ML automation.
• Strong understanding of GCP or AWS, cloud infrastructure, and infrastructure as code for ML production environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Vietnamese is required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in data analytics, data science, or a related field.
• Experience in the mobile, music, or game industry.
• Knowledge of modern data stacks and experience leading an organization’s data strategy.
