TL;DR

IT Service Design and Transition Manager (ITSM/ITIL): Managing the design and transition of new or modified IT services from project phase to live operational environments with an accent on ITIL principles, process ownership, and cross-functional coordination. Focus on leading the Design and Transition pod to ensure scalable, maintainable, and customer-centric service delivery.

What you will do

  • Design and transition new or changed services into live environments, ensuring they meet stakeholder expectations for quality, cost, and timelines.
  • Lead the Design and Transition pod, ensuring service design is embedded within the technical organization.
  • Act as process owner for UX and Adoption, Service Level Management, Service Transition, Configuration Management, and Asset Management.
  • Collaborate with project teams, service owners, and support groups (L1/L2) to ensure seamless transition to business-as-usual (BAU) operations.
  • Develop and document operating procedures for each service management area and drive continual improvement.
  • Ensure an efficient, customer-centric delivery model in collaboration with internal and external service providers.

Requirements

  • Degree level education or equivalent professional training and experience.
  • At least five years’ experience working in an IT service environment within a complex and diverse organisation.
  • At least two years’ experience in a service environment where ITIL service management principles and processes are implemented.
  • Demonstrable leadership capability and ability to inspire multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Proven experience working in a matrix organisation using negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Technical background to understand core system architectures and the impact of new technologies.
