Salary: $145,000 - $165,000

What you will do

• Perform end-to-end cryptocurrency tracing to attribute illicit activities involving scams, ransomware, and fraud.
• Analyze blockchain data to uncover criminal patterns and identify key suspects in cybercrime operations.
• Provide real-time investigative support and technical insights to IRS-CI agents to build strong prosecutorial cases.
• Conduct dark web research and forensic reviews of marketplaces, chat platforms, and credential dumps.
• Utilize OSINT and SOMEX techniques to map actor behavior and resolve IPs, DNS, and social media identifiers.
• Produce detailed technical reports and collaborate with U.S. Attorneys to prepare case materials for trial.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of investigative experience in cyber, financial crime, or intelligence support.
• Demonstrated experience with cryptocurrency tracing platforms such as Chainalysis, TRM, or Elliptic.
• Proficiency in MySQL for extracting and manipulating data from large, unstructured datasets.
• Strong background in OSINT tools (e.g., Maltego, DomainTools) and social media exploitation.

Nice to have

• Prior experience working alongside federal law enforcement agencies.
• Professional certifications from Chainalysis (CRC, CISC, CEIC) or TRM Academy.
• Experience with covert persona operations or open-source protocols.
• Deep understanding of legal frameworks regarding digital evidence.
