Data Scientist (Risk Management)

Our brilliant team is currently looking for a Data Scientist to join Plata's Integrated Risk Management team. The team develops the models and analytical frameworks that support key decisions across credit, financial, and operational risk, helping the business better understand uncertainty and make informed decisions at scale.

Some of the challenges include:
• developing statistical models for portfolio forecasting and risk assessment
• building NPV, reserve, liquidity, and other financial models
• analyzing distributions, deviations, and risk drivers rather than focusing solely on point estimates
• designing forecasting and monitoring frameworks for portfolio performance
• working closely with risk, finance, product, and leadership teams on high-impact business decisions

The role is particularly well suited for someone with a strong foundation in statistics, probability, and predictive modeling, who enjoys working with complex financial data and can independently drive analytical initiatives from idea to implementation.

🌍 Relocation is available to Cyprus, Serbia, Spain, Georgia, or Mexico.
We're also open to remote candidates who can overlap with the first half of the business day in Mexico.
