What you will do

• Design and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and manage Kafka producers and consumers for event-driven workflows.
• Optimize SQL Server schemas, queries, and stored procedures for high performance.
• Collaborate with frontend and QA teams to define API contracts and refine requirements.
• Support production systems, including incident triage and resolution during European working hours.
• Contribute to legacy system stability while supporting modernization initiatives.

Requirements

• Strong backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of REST API design and implementation.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Strong experience with relational databases, ideally SQL Server.
• Availability to work with strong CET overlap.
• Proficiency in English for clear communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
• Experience with performance tuning and SQL optimization.
• Background in migrating or refactoring legacy systems.
